Over 100,000 patients have been treated with Absorb since it became commercially available in 2012, in Europe. With TGA approval granted in September 2014, Australian experience is growing fast and we invite you to hear from a variety of Interventional Cardiologists to share their experience. This meeting will be largely case-based and will be chaired by Australia’s most experienced Absorb operators, Dr Nigel Jepson, Dr Ron Dick and Prof Carl Schultz.

TAVI in 2015 is mature and predictable and is now challenging the concept that surgical AVR is the gold standard in elderly patients.

We are thrilled to have our newly appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs - Dr. Martyn Thomas MD, FRCP to present the latest clinical evidence and global perspectives on the application of TAVI in modern cardiovascular medicine. As the previous clinical director of cardiovascular services at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London since 2007, Martyn is highly regarded as a leader in interventional cardiology, and specifically in Transcatheter heart valve therapies, research and education.

In addition to the lecture content, Martyn will facilitate local clinical case studies in an “Advanced Learning Environment” designed to address questions for experienced TAVI operators & teams managing challenging TAVI cases.
